If there’s one particular city in Thailand that I love, it’s Chiangmai. It’s a lot cooler, the city is not that big and you could easily get around. The fares are not as cheap as in Bangkok, though, but when you know how to speak Thai, the drivers are not that hard to make a deal with.
So in two days we will be setting foot on Chiangmai again. Two years ago I had so much fun there with friends for a training. Well, it’s actually a mixed feeling because the kids were not with us that time.
Every afternoon hubby and I would go for walks and go out for dinner. Sometimes we ate at a proper eating place, and sometimes we just bought food from those food carts along the road. During that 6-week training I developed this bond with two special ladies, Rach and Abby. They went with us on those afternoon walks and I missed them so much when we had to say goodbye. Abby had to go home to Indonesia where she was working, Rachel had to go to India and we had to go to another part of Thailand for our Thai language studies.
Me, Rachel and Abby: What do you know? Back then these ladies were so single and now, Abby is happily married while Rach will tie the knot with her fiance in a few months. So excited to see them again– and yes, we have so much of catching ups to do!
