Hello, Spring!

I greatly enjoy photos of friends posted on facebook these days– flowers, beautiful blooms and lots of greens.  It must be a relief to finally welcome summer after months of cold.  Of course I could not imagine how that is because here in the tropics, it’s actually summer the whole year round!  Well, not really because we are about to welcome the rainy season.  But really, here in Thailand, it’s still unbelievably hot and humid even during the rainy seasons.  Oh, to live in this part of the world!  Gotta love the sun. :)

Back to spring, I also enjoy photos of friends spring cleaning. I wish I could have someone come here for roof cleaning, even if it’s not spring! Speaking of cleaning up, I should do some  anytime soon. It’s getting all dusty in the house and I am not loving the sneezing at all!

Traveling With Musical Instruments

It must be a challenge to bring musical instruments when on a plane trip.  When we went home to the Philippines we decided we were not bringing hubby’s guitar with us.  We knew it was going to be difficult having to carry it and worry that it won’t get broken, etc., plus we had two kids with us.

I came across quneo and wow, I was so impressed at how this instrument could be so handy. It’s a must-have for traveling musicians because you could just handcarry it without having problems.

Since Ria would love to learn how to play the keyboards/piano after her violin module, we thought this is something she should have also– after buying her the keyboards she has always dreamed of, of course!

Attending Concerts

Have you ever watched a big event like a concert of a popular star? I have, and getting in the venue could be a pain.  No matter how early you’d go, getting past the main gate where fans had been waiting for hours already could still delay your entrance– not to mention of course that fans could be out of control without those stanchions.

Organizers should find a stanchion – I mean, the more, the better aside from hiring those guards doing crowd control.  Personally, this is the number one turn off when friends invite me to big concerts.  I enjoy the music, but I don’t like lining up for hours!
