Flying By Wire!

A few months ago, I wrote a series of posts about our adventure in Dahilayan, Bukidnon where Asia’s Longest Dual Zipline is.  We had such a blast– and the scaredy cat me was able to conquer my fears as I “flew by wire.”

I was going through my files and I realized I was not able to blog about the certificates we got from Dahilayan.  Although we had to pay for them, we thought they would be great souvenirs of our our adventure.

This is how our certificate covers look like:

Here is Ria’s certificate, conquering the 320-meter dual zipline:

And here is mine! It was so funny the guy who put on the harness on us asked Joey and me if we would like to hold hands.  I was too scared to hold on the strap with just one hand so I said I’d rather not!  It turned out that Joey is a lot heavier than me so I just zoomed, leaving him behind!

I should have agreed to hold hands with Joey! LOL!

And here are our photos of Asia’s Longest Dual Zipline:

Joey looked so relaxed

I love this shot of my sister, Reyna

Me! The one taking the photo took this shot when I already arrived the station. My photo while on “flight” did not look that good.

This is how our certificate looks like inside:

To conquer that 840-meter dual zipline was one of the best experiences of my life.  I would have wanted to record that amazing ride.  I was holding my camera all along only to find out later that I was not able to pus the “record” button.  Bummer, right?  But I believe that would not be my first and only visit to Dahilayan.  I believe the second time would even be more exciting!

I’ll be back for more, Dahilayan…wait for me!

Dahilayan Adventure Park is located in Barangay Dahilayan, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon.  It is about 30 minutes from Cagayan de Oro City.  For more information, you can check out their site here.

So I am finally posting about my zipline adventure.  The Dahilayan Zipline is the longest dual zipline in Asia, so I have to congratulate myself for braving it!

We bought tickets for “ride all”–we could do the two ziplines!

Everybody’s strapped- including the kids! This is the shorter zipline

Do I look nervous? I am shaking! LOL!

That’s me and Joey… I was lagging behind because I am not as heavy as him! Haha!

Here comes my Pop and Roi!

Off we went to the Dual Zipline station!

The road was bumpy and hilly, making us more excited for the adventure that awaited us!

This nice lady helped us in the strapping. She was very assuring that we were not going to die! LOL!

A pose before we fly! weee!

Ria getting ready for her flight with Tita Reyna. At this point my hands were getting all sweaty!

And off they went!

I was meaning to take a video of my ride but when I checked my camera, I was not able to press “record” .  I was so bummed!!  But it was one of the greatest experiences of my life.  At Dahilayan, I was able to conquer my fear of heights!

The proof? I would be happy to do it all over again!

Dahilayan Adventure Park (part 2 of 3)

I made a post about our trip to Dahilayan Adventure Park, and this is its continuation.  No words could describe how happy I am that finally, our very own Bukidnon province is catching the attention of tourists from other countries!

In my previous post, I made mention and showed photos of our stay in one of the cottages/ rest houses there.  It was an awesome experience!

This is the restaurant at Dahilayan. There are hotel rooms in the basement, but we did not stay there.

When we left Bangkok, it was 42 degrees celcius. Dahilayan was unbelievably cold! We had to wear sweaters... something we have not done in a long, long time!

Our family with my papa and mama

This photo is unedited. The sunset there was spectacular!

Ok, now this is scripted. LOL!

Then we had barbecue for dinner!

So this is it for this post– I will blog about my zipline experience on the next one!
