If you hear the word “Pataya” the first thing that comes to your mind would be gorgeous beaches filled with tourists. That’s actually true. But unknown to many, Pattaya is also home to vast vineyards– where most of Thailand’s grapes are grown.

They're so yummy! Believe me, I had a taste! For free!

Thailand is known for its floating markets. Hundreds of years ago, the country is mostly watery so people rode on boats instead of buses or cars. Bangkok, in particular, is called “Venice of the East.”
Today we can see replicas of these floating markets. There is one that is closest to Bangkok, but I have not gone there yet. So our visit to Pattaya was the first experience I had with floating markets, although we were not able to ride on those boats.

Shops were built in this man-made river, and many vendors sold their goodies on boats
Shops sold food, shirts and souvenir items
For an authentic Thai experience, tourists and travelers get to ride on these boats
Off they go... they were provided with hats too!
