What happened to my postcrossing?

Yes, I was supposed to post my postcards here in this very blog.  It’s been a while now since I have been receiving postcards from around the globe but never really blogged about them.  Tsk, so much to do!  But I guess I will just make posts about it one at a time.  It does not have to be rushed.

I am greatly enjoying my new hobby. Through postcards, I have somehow “traveled” a bit and learned new things about places (some I have never even heard of before!) So please bear with me.  Those beautiful postcards are going to be posted here in no time.  I miss joining memes about postcards, too! ;)

Speaking of postcard collection, my daughter Ria wants to join the fun of postcrossing.  I think it’s a good idea.  Imagine how many postcards she will be able to write and receive by the time she’ll be 20?  And that would be lots of learning too!

So that reminds me, I have to double my budget for postcards and stamps.  That made me think– why can’t we make our own postcards?  We take great photos and we have a good printer.  What do you think? ;)

Postcards sent!

Yay! Receiving postcards are such a delight. I have already received 4 so far, and I am expecting 1 more from the first batch. For the second, 5. So checking our mailbox has never been this fun!

I have sent 3 more postcards the other day.

This one was sent to Janna.  This beautiful postcard featuring the Temple of Dawn  in Bangkok will travel 7,069 km or 4,392 miles to reach her The Russian Federation.

This is for Jorea– this postcard will travel 13,965 kilometers  or 8,677 miles to get to where she is at Robertsdale, Pennsylvania, United States of America.

This colorful postcard with a picture of the Floating Market will travel 8,801 kilometers (5,469 miles) to get to where Katrin is in Germany.

I will post about the postcards I have received on the next post!  I have Postcrossing to thank for for this new hobby of mine, collecting postcards!
